30.11.2019 10: 06Who can not stick to rules? Who is afraid of a large tarantula? And who knows the most curse words? Many questions – and the new family game show "wonderfully honest – do you know your child?" with Mirja Boes has the answers! The opening of the three double episodes shows VOX on Tuesday, 3.12. at 20:15.
Episode 1 with Verona Pooth and Evelyn Burdecki: "wonderfully honest – do you know your child?" goes into the first round with six-year-old Lilly and seven-year-old Santino. Celebrity godmothers Evelyn Burdecki and Verona Pooth visit the two kids for a day at home to get to know them as much as possible. At the same time, Verona makes it clear: "The Santino looks very sweet, but when you're in his room, you'll get three balls to greet you!" Evelyn is at least as fond of her godchild and knows, "Lilly is highly intelligent, she has a very big brain IQ." How well the two celebs have finally met their protégés, is shown in the game rounds: This is not only about a lot of money, but also for wonderfully honest experiments and assessment games. Moderator Mirja Boes jumps on the couch at the sight of a tarantula, but how did Lilly and Santino react? Not only should their parents know that, but they should also be able to assess Evelyn and Verona. In the end, a family can go home with up to 10,000 euros.
At the start of her new family game show Mirja Boes tells in an interview how well she knows her own children and why it is so difficult to assess one's own child.
How well do you rate your two children?
I think I can judge both of them very well. I have two very different children – which is good, because everyone is their own master. My older son is now eight years old and does a lot of things very well and is even a bit stuffy. The smaller one is a lovable noble proletarian, as I like to call him – of course not directly to him. He would rather resist instructions from an adult and press the button if he was told not to do so.
As a parent, you always think you know your kids. How difficult is it to actually judge the child correctly?
I think it's very hard to judge your own children, because there are two different categories of children: There are those who work well outside of their own four walls and are always nice – but are very wild at home. And there are those who are always good at home but are wild outside the home. My children belong to the first kind: They work great outside the house and fortunately have never thrown on the ground in the supermarket – but then like to come home like a zombie and turn completely there, because they let out their frustration there , For the parents, this actually means something positive, because they say that you can drop where the greatest confidence prevails. But that's what makes it so difficult for parents to assess their own children. In the run-up to the show, I also thought about what my children would do in certain situations, because they are the same age as the children we have on the show with "gloriously honest" – and I could not say it exactly like them would react in certain situations.
In which situations are your two boys angels or devils – when are they especially fond of their mother and when not?
Of course, they are especially nice when they want something. On the other hand, I also have cuddly children who like to snuggle up to me. It has already happened that my younger son says to me from nowhere: "You are the most beautiful mum in the world." Then I turn for joy. On the other hand, it happens the same way that he says to me, "Mommy, do you know what I like so much about you?" Then I ask, "What?" and he answers, "Nothing," and laughs ruefully.
Was there a situation where your guys said: Mom, are you embarrassed?
Fortunately, I was not yet embarrassed. However, the big guy told me relatively early that I should not be so silly now. I just wanted to punch one out to lighten the mood, but that did not work out so well for him. Besides, I'm not allowed to kiss the big one anymore. Only secretly. But I can still wave – depending on how many buddies are traveling with him. The little ones, however, I can kiss.
